Your personal mission 

We are looking for someone to fulfil an important role in the R&D team, therefore we are actively looking for a Microbiologist that likes to be in a high-paced innovative environment. Even though every day is different at Nostics, there are some key responsibilities that we would like you to take upon:

  • Development and Validation of our COVID-19 test and other diagnostic assays. 
  • High quality, well-documented evidence for the performance and stability of Spektrax products in line with ISO14385
  • Set-up new experiments and conduct and design them.
  • Guide and work with a small team of junior researchers.
  • Keep a clear vision on goals and ensure good communication about the status of a project and next steps.

You will also be working closely together with your lab colleagues on topics like maintaining appropriate ISO 13485 standards and supporting them in reviewing, writing and expanding the lab and safety procedures and validation protocols.

About you

  • You have a pragmatic approach to work
  • You like to have a lot of responsibility and take initiative
  • You're a teamplayer
  • 5+ years experience in a comparable role.
  • Preferably experience with ISO14385
  • Experience in working with biological material (bacteria/viruses)
  • Experience in working with different technical setups (spectroscopy - Raman, ideally)
  • You’ve gained this experience in a start-up or scale-up environment (IVD assay development ideally).
  • You are goal-oriented. 
  • You are fluent in the English language.
  • You are in it to make a change!

Your background

This job is not an easy one (but fun!). It requires a background in both technical/analytical work as well as in working with biological materials. For example combinations such as:

  • Biotechnology
  • Analytical chemistry + molecular biology
  • Nanoparticles + biology such as breast cancer imaging applications
  • Raman Spectroscopy and biological samples (ideal)
  • Virus, bacteria and Spectroscopy (ideal)
  • Physics, Analytical thinking and microbiology
